MFFC’s SCG Showcase marked the successful culmination of this year’s program,
which ran from June 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026. Supported by the government of Ontario
through the Seniors Community Grant, MFFC delivered a diverse range of initiatives
designed to enhance both physical and mental well-being, with a strong focus on
promoting independent living among the older adults.
Love the Musical by the MFFC A timeless notion, LOVE. Everyone needs love… and the MFFC certainly has lots to give! On May 2, 2026, the MFFC’s Rhythm Re-Choired will be performing an original musical titled “Love the Musical” at the Peoples Theatre for the Performing Arts located at 22 Esna Park Drive in Markham. Show time is at 7pm with doors opening at 6:30pm. Tickets are $25.

It was a beautiful but somber Saturday evening as members of the Markham Federation of Filipino Canadians (MFFC), dignitaries and the public stood before the Jose Rizal memorial in Markham and held a candlelight vigil following the fateful events in Vancouver on April 26, 2025 at the Lapu Lapu festival. Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti as well as Regional Councillors Joe Li and Alan Ho and MP Michael Ma spoke in turn to express their support for the Filipino community.
